Frameless Glass Balustrade Glazing Kit – overview
The Frameless Glass Balustrade Glazing Kit is the set of parts that holds the glass inside a UNIKIM aluminum base shoe profile. Setting blocks carry the glass, clamping wedges press it tight in the channel and gasket strips close the gaps at the top – no adhesive or cement is needed.
The kit is listed on pages 9 and 11 of the UNIKIM 2024 catalogue in two sizes: MOD 0800 for 2.5 m of profile and MOD 0900 for 5 m. Each is made for one glass thickness, from 12 to 21.52 mm.

Applications

Installation notes
- Place the setting blocks in the channel at the spacing shown in the installation guide.
- Stand the glass on the blocks, align it, then drive the wedges in from both sides.
- Press the gasket strips into the gap at the top of the channel.
- Use only the kit made for your exact glass thickness.
MOD 0800 or MOD 0900?
Order one MOD 0800 per 2.5 m profile or one MOD 0900 per 5 m profile, in the article number for your glass thickness – for example A0.0900.17.R for 16.76 mm laminated glass in a 5 m profile.
