Stainless Steel Post
Stainless steel railing posts carry the glass, the handrail and the guard loads, so the post sets the whole railing. UNIKIM makes round and square posts with welded base plates in AISI 304 and 316 stainless steel, plain or pre-drilled for glass clamps, in its own Ningbo factory.

How to choose a railing post
Pick the profile first: round posts suit classic and curved designs, square 40 × 40 mm posts suit modern lines. Then choose the post type for each position on the drawing – end, middle, corner or angle – so the clamp holes face the right way. Round posts come in Ø33.7, 38.1, 42.4, 48.3 and 50.8 mm; match the glass clamps to the same diameter. Posts are made to the finished height you need; in most US buildings required guards are at least 42 inches high under IBC Section 1015, and 36 inches in homes under the IRC.

Which post do I need at a corner?
Use a 90° corner post (MOD 9030 round or 9080 square), or the 135° post MOD 9031 for angled corners.
Can posts be made in 316 stainless steel?
Yes. Use AISI 316 for pools, coastal sites and polluted areas; 304 suits dry interiors.
How do I hide the anchors?
Fit a matching cover from our bases and covers range over the welded base plate.

Which stainless steel grade should I choose: 304 or 316?
Choose 304 for dry indoor projects. Choose 316 for anything outdoors, near a pool or close to the coast, because it resists chlorides and salt much better. See our 304 vs 316 guide.
What finishes are available?
Our railing hardware is available in satin (brushed), mirror polish and matte black, with other finishes on request. Tell us your finish when you ask for a quotation.
Can you produce custom sizes or our own design?
Yes. Send your drawings or specification and we can manufacture custom sizes, shapes and finishes for contractors, distributors and OEM partners.
Which glass thickness do your fittings support?
The supported glass thickness is listed in each product’s specifications. If you are unsure, send us your glass specification (thickness and tempered or laminated) and we will confirm the right fittings.
Do you supply complete railing systems or individual parts?
Both. You can order individual fittings, or matched posts, handrails, clamps, spigots and base shoes for a complete railing system.
